How is Radiesse different to other dermal fillers?

Most dermal fillers are made with a naturally occurring substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). Radiesse is made with calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. CaHA particles form a 'scaffold' that stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen for up to a year and elastin for up to 9 months, after only one injection.

HA fillers do not address skin quality, like Radiesse does.
